Schedule

The calm 90-day countdown.

Wedding-floral planning runs on phases, not calendar dates. Lock the palette early, order at the four-to-six week mark, and leave the final fortnight for fluff and fixes.

  1. Phase 01 · 90 — 60 days out

    Lock the palette

Decide on a colour direction now so every other purchase (linens, signage, attire) can build from it.

    • Take the color quiz to narrow to 1–2 palette directions.
    • Order a swatch box if you want physical swatches in hand.
    • Share the palette HEX values with your photographer and stationer.
  2. Phase 02 · 60 — 45 days out

    Build your piece list

Translate the venue floor plan into specific florals. Use the floral checklist to size everything against your guest count.

    • Confirm guest count and wedding-party size.
    • Walk the ceremony + reception spaces (or review floor plans) and list every surface that needs florals.
    • Run the floral checklist to compute exact piece counts.
  3. Phase 03 · 45 — 30 days out

    Place the order

Production takes 7–14 days and transit adds 3–6 days. This window gives you a buffer for last-minute additions.

    • Order all primary pieces (bouquets, ceremony, reception centerpieces).
    • Save tracking emails as soon as they arrive.
    • Brief your day-of coordinator on what's shipping and when.
  4. Phase 04 · 30 — 14 days out

    Receive + unbox

Open every box on arrival — not the night before. Faux florals recover from transit creasing best when given days to relax.

    • Photograph any damage on the day of arrival.
    • Hang or stand bouquets upright in a cool, dry space.
    • Order any add-on pieces (cake florals, signage florals) you spot gaps for.
  5. Phase 05 · 14 — 0 days out

    Final assembly

The fluff-and-fix week. Most pieces need 10 minutes of grooming — stems straightened, leaves recolaresced, ribbons retied.

    • Steam any stems still showing transit creases.
    • Hand bouquets to bridesmaids the morning of for grooming before photos.
    • Pack reception pieces in their original boxes for the coordinator.
  6. Phase 06 · Post-wedding

    Pack + preserve

Real-touch florals can hold their colour and shape for 5+ years with basic care.

    • Wipe gently with a microfibre cloth to remove dust.
    • Store upright in the original boxes, out of direct sunlight.
    • See the Care & Reuse guide for deep-clean and rearrangement ideas.
